半金属 Bi(111)表面上的单分子磁体 Fe4

摘要: 单分子磁体具有独特的磁学性质,如磁化强度的量子隧穿和量子相干振荡。该实验利用了 STM 针尖沉积方法,把单分子磁体 Fe4沉积到比较惰性的半金属 Bi(111)表面,并利用低温扫描隧道显微镜(LT‐STM )观察了分子的形貌,发现分子的结构完整;还利用扫描隧道谱(STS)技术测量了分子的态密度分布和 HOMO‐LUMO 能隙,为单分子磁体 Fe4的应用提供了一定的参考意义。

Abstract: Single molecule magnets (SMMs) possess unique magnetic properties ,such as quantum tunne‐ling of magnetization and quantum coherent oscillation .In this experiment ,in the STM tip deposition method ,we have grafted the single molecule magnet Fe4 to the relatively inert semimetal Bi (111) surface , the molecular morphology observed by low temperature scanning tunneling microscope was analyzed .It has been found that the molecular structure remains to be intact .We have also measured the molecular state density distribution and HOMO‐LUMO gap by means of scanning tunneling spectrum (STS) technol‐ogy .All of these studies provide some key information for the application of single molecule magnet Fe 4 . -
