Abstract: A new iteration process is defined for asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive mappings in convex metric spaces,and some sufficient and necessary conditions are proved for the iterative scheme converging to the fixed point.The results presented in this paper generalize and unify many important known results in recent literature. -
