One New Species and Two New Record Species of Igerna (Hemiptera:Cicadellidae:Megophthalminae) from China

  • A new species, Igerna mesialis sp. nov. and two new record species, Igerna shillongensis Meshram rec. nov. and Igerna wilsoni Viraktamath rec. nov. in the tribe Agalliini of the subfamily Megophthalminae from China, are described and illustrated. The new species is very similar to I. channa Viraktamath, Dai & Zhang, but can be distinguished from the latter by the aedeagal shaft with two edges nearly parallel, gradually narrowed to apex at quarter; two pairs of processes, the shorter pair subapical directed basic ventrally, the longer one arising from the base of the shaft, directed dorsally; gonopore near the middle of the shaft. The type materials of the new species and the two new record species are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University, Guiyang, China (GUGC).

Abstract: A new species, Igerna mesialis sp. nov. and two new record species, Igerna shillongensis Meshram rec. nov. and Igerna wilsoni Viraktamath rec. nov. in the tribe Agalliini of the subfamily Megophthalminae from China, are described and illustrated.   • 纤细叶蝉属(Igerna)隶属于半翅目(Hemiptera),叶蝉总科(Cicadelloidea),叶蝉科(Cicadellidae),圆痕叶蝉亚科(Megophthalminae)[1-2],由Kirkaldy[3]在1903年以(Pachynus bimaculicollis Stål,1866)为模式种建立.在过去的160多年间,有许多学者对该属进行了研究,如Viraktamath等[4-6]、Meshram等[7]、陈祥盛等[8]及Li等[9].其中,Li等[9]在2012年首次报道了该属在中国的分布.截止目前,除本研究外,该属世界分布22种,中国分布3种.

    本文记述了1新种:中性纤细叶蝉(Igerna mesialis sp. nov.),2新纪录种:西隆纤细叶蝉(Igerna shillongensis Meshram rec. nov.)和威尔逊纤细叶蝉(Igerna wilsoni Viraktamath rec. nov.),并提供了此3种叶蝉的整体图、雌雄外生殖器鉴别特征图及中国纤细叶蝉属的种类分布表和检索表,新种模式标本及新纪录种检视标本保存于贵州大学昆虫研究所(GUGC).

1.   纤细叶蝉属(Igerna)

    Pachynus Stål,1866:127

    模式种:Pachynus bimaculicollis Stål,1866 (by original designation,replacement name for Pachynus Stål,1866,not Rafinesque,1815)

    属征:成虫体通常具黑色或褐色斑点.体小到中型,体长约3~6 mm.头冠后缘近复眼两侧波纹状,头部较前胸背板宽.前翅具3个端前室和4个端室.雄虫尾节侧瓣端背缘或后缘具齿状突起、分叉的刺状突起或延长的背叶.阳茎对称,偶见不对称.

    该属与澳圆痕叶蝉属(Austroagallia Evans)、伊恩叶蝉属(Ianagallia Viraktamath)及淡脉叶蝉属(Japanagallia Ishihara)近似.澳圆痕叶蝉属通过以下特征区别于纤细叶蝉属:体呈灰褐色,雄虫尾节侧瓣后背缘叶状延伸,雄虫第10背板末端呈钩状、枝状或边缘呈细圆齿状,阳茎背腔发达,阳茎干不对称等.伊恩叶蝉属阳茎发达,阳茎腹突具不对称的叉状突起,阳茎干纤细、较短,前足腿节刚毛没有排列成组可区分于纤细叶蝉属.淡脉叶蝉属阳茎具发达的背腔,部分种类具发达腹突可区分于纤细叶蝉属.

    分布:东洋界,大洋洲界和非洲界.

2.   中性纤细叶蝉(Igerna mesialis sp. nov.)

    体连翅长:雄虫,4.05 mm.

    雄虫体浅褐色,头冠有5个深褐色斑点,中间的斑点延伸至颜面,与颜面的大斑相连,两侧近复眼处各有2个部分连接的斑点(图 1:a,c).触角窝、颊区近舌侧板处、唇基中部的斑纹及颜面骨缝均为深褐色.单眼深红色,复眼红褐色(图 1:c).前胸背板前缘、中线两侧的圆斑及近后缘的三角形斑均为深褐色.盾间沟及中胸背板深褐色,中胸背板中线两侧各有一个乳黄色叶状斑.小盾片深褐色,两侧边缘的梭形斑白色(图 1:a).前翅翅脉褐色,爪脉端部白色.足乳白色,带褐色斑纹(图 1:b).

    雄虫体粗壮,头冠中央纵长短于两侧近复眼处,头冠后缘近复眼处波状(图 1:a).颜面颗粒状(图 1:c).前胸背板窄于头冠,前缘第一对黑斑处稍凹,中长大于中胸小盾片中长(图 1:a).前翅具3个端前室,4个端室(图 1:b).

    雄虫尾节尾缘斜截,尾腹缘锥状突出,散生少量细长刚毛.肛领突发达,末端钩状(图 2:a).基瓣近似半圆形;下生殖板延长,超出尾节后缘,表面散生少量细刚毛,未与基瓣愈合,基部1/6处彼此愈合(图 2:b).阳基侧突内臂约等于外臂,内臂末端尖锐,端部1/3区域透明(图 2:c).连索颜色深,前缘窄于后缘,侧缘凹陷,后缘中央有一叶突(图 2:d).阳茎腹腔发达,背腔较弱(图 2:f);阳茎干两边缘平行,至端部1/4处变窄(图 2:e);阳茎干有2对突起,短的1对位于阳茎干亚端部侧缘,指向基腹侧,长的1对在阳茎干基部侧缘,与阳茎干近平行,指向背侧;性孔位于阳茎干近中部(图 2:f).

    正模♂,四川省乡城县沙贡乡达根村,3 500~3 900 m,2015.Ⅷ.15,詹洪平采.

    分布:中国(四川)

    新种与美丽纤细叶蝉(I. channa Viraktamath,Dai & Zhang)相似,但前者阳茎干两边缘平行,至端部1/4处变窄;阳茎干上的短突起指向基腹侧;阳茎干上的长突起在基部侧缘,指向背侧;性孔位于阳茎干近中部.

    种名词源:新种种名词源来源于拉丁词“mesialis”,意指新种性孔位于阳茎干近中部.

3.   西隆纤细叶蝉(Igerna shillongensis Meshram rec. nov.)

    体连翅长:雄虫,3.97 mm;雌虫,4.00 mm.

    头冠中线两侧各具一枚长形斑,其至中线的距离小于其至邻近一侧复眼的距离(图 1:d,f).颜面颜色不均,黄色与褐色交错;额唇基、前唇基浅黄褐色,前唇基端部两侧缘有条形黑斑;舌侧板黄色;颊区浅黄色,边缘白色;触角窝具黑斑;单眼米白色,复眼灰褐色(图 1:f).前胸背板红棕色,后缘有一淡黄褐色斑带,斑带之前有一“鹰状”黑斑.中胸背板、盾间沟黑色,小盾片黄色(图 1:d).前翅深褐色,爪脉暗黄褐色.足米黄色(图 1:e).

    雄虫体狭长,头冠宽于前胸背板,头冠中长短于两侧近复眼间距离,两侧近复眼处波状.前胸背板中长与中胸小盾片中长相等(图 1:d).前翅3个端前室,4个端室(图 1:e).

    雌虫前胸背板后缘中央两侧各有一个黑色近三角形斑,中胸背板红棕色,两基侧角的三角形斑黑色(图 3:a).前翅黄褐色,革区深褐色(图 3:b).其余部分同雄虫(图 3:a-c).

    雄虫尾节侧面有粗壮微刚毛;尾腹缘中部轻微内陷(图 4:a).下生殖板腹面观延长,近三角形,未与基瓣愈合,但其基部1/5处彼此愈合,端向1/3处逐渐变窄,亚端部区域指向外侧;侧面观端部弧圆;散生发状刚毛(图 4:a,b).阳基侧突发达,外臂圆且短,着生散乱刚毛,内臂较短,基部剧烈弯曲,端部弧圆(图 4:c).连索背面观,端部窄于基部,后缘中央有一叶突(图 4:d).阳茎侧面观端部无突起,端缘轻微凹向尾侧,腹缘中部有一小凹槽;阳茎干侧面观基部宽阔,端部窄;性孔位于亚端部(图 4:e).肛领突发达,近端部分叉,背枝短于腹枝(图 4:a).

    雌虫第七腹板宽大于长,腹面观中央有一刺状突,两侧后角弧圆,产卵器明显伸出尾节后缘之外(图 3:d).

    雌虫第一产卵瓣背向弯曲,端背域2/3处具刻纹,刻纹斜向紧密排列;第二产卵瓣背缘透明区域至端部之间呈波浪状,末端钝圆(图 5:a-d).

    检视标本:2 ♂ 2 ♀,云南省铜壁关乡,900 m,2015.X.6,詹洪平、汪佳佳采.

    分布:中国(云南);印度.

4.   威尔逊纤细叶蝉Igerna wilsoni Viraktamath rec. nov.

    该种采集到2种体色不一样的标本,一种为黑色型,一种为橘色型,其共有的特征如下:

    1) 头冠中线两侧具1对椭圆形黑斑,将头冠三等分.雄虫体狭长,头冠包括复眼宽于前胸背板,头冠中长稍短于两侧近复眼间宽,两侧近复眼处波状.前胸背板中长与中胸小盾片中长相等.前翅具3个端前室,4个端室(图 1:g,h,j,k).

    2) 雄虫尾节侧瓣近平截,着生大量粗短刚毛,肛领突简单.阳基侧突内臂轻微长于外臂,端部斜截.连索为“I”型,侧缘中央凹陷,颜色深.阳茎基部粗壮,阳茎腔腹体末端中央有一锥形突起,阳茎干腹缘基部有一对指向尾侧的长突起,亚端部有一对齿突(图 6:a,c-f;图 7:a,c-f).

    3) 雌虫第七腹板长约等于宽(图 3:h,l).雌虫第一产卵瓣背向弯曲,端背域2/3处具刻纹,刻纹斜向排列,第二产卵瓣背缘透明区域至端部之间呈不规则齿状,末端钝圆(图 5:e-l).

    两者的不同之处在于:

    黑色型体连翅长:雄虫,3.98 mm;雌虫,4.00 mm.

    雄虫体黑色.头冠两侧近复眼处各有一小的黑斑,头顶中央有一黑色纵带.颜面黄褐色;额唇基黑色,基部与头顶的黑色纵带相连,呈倒“Y”型;前唇基、舌侧板黑色;单眼黄褐色,复眼灰褐色;单眼旁、触角窝处各具一个黑色斑块.前胸背板黑色,两侧后缘黄褐色.中胸小盾片黑色,侧缘黄褐色.前翅深褐色,爪脉黄褐色.足黄褐色(图 1:g-i).

    基瓣与下生殖板愈合,且下生殖板基部近1/4处彼此愈合(图 6:b).阳茎腔腹体基部有一小齿(图 6:e).

    雌虫个体比雄虫稍大,前胸背板中线两侧有不规则红棕色斑,前翅具横脉(图 3:e-g).雌虫第七腹板后缘波状,前缘锥状突出(图 3:h).

    检视标本:1 ♂ 1 ♀,云南省铜壁关乡弄开乒崩山,1 200 m,2015.Ⅹ.5,詹洪平、汪佳佳采.

    分布:中国(云南);印度.

    橘色型体连翅长:雄虫,4.1 mm;雌虫,4.2 mm.

    雄虫颜面、额唇基、前唇基、舌侧板橘黄色;触角窝处具一黑色斑块;单眼米黄色,复眼深褐色.前胸背板橘红色.中胸背板橘红色,两基侧角橘黄色.盾间沟橘红色,小盾片橘黄色.前翅深褐色,基部橘红色,爪片和爪脉末端有橘红色杂斑.足淡黄色(图 1:j,k,l).

    基瓣未与下生殖板愈合.下生殖板基部近1/5处彼此愈合(图 7:b).阳茎腔腹体基部有少量小齿(图 7:f).

    雌虫体色斑纹同雄虫(图 3:i-k).雌虫第七腹板后缘中央凹陷,侧缘波状(图 3:l).
