Analysis on Climate Characteristics and Variation of Fog in Shifang From 1959 to 2010

More Information
  • On the basis of ground meteorological observation data of this area from 1959 to 2010 ,the cli-mate characteristics of fog in Shifang and its variation trend as well as the relations between heavy fog and meteorological elements have been analyzed in this paper .T he results indicate that the fog of this area in recent 52 years shows an overall increasing trend and significant seasonal differences with the foggy days in single peak feature ;the heavy fog in autumn and winter accounts for 75% of the annual frequency ;the me-teorological elements of the heavy fog are low temperature ,high humidity ,small dew-point deficit and wind speed and north wind as the dominate wind direction ;all the annual ,autumn and winter foggy days were detected a significant increase in the trend .
