On Flora Composition and Characteristics of Wetland Plants in Mianyang City

Abstract: Based on field investigations and reference data ,the flora composition and geographical element characteristics of wetland vascular plant in Mianyang have been studied to provide basic data of conserva-tion and utilization of the wetland resources .The results show that the 281 wetland vascular plant species belong to 172 genera and 68 families ,and the species diversity is obvious .T he single-species family ,few-species family ,the single-species genera and few-species genera are the main part of the flora ,and the structure of flora is relatively complex .The widespread type accounts for 63 .24% of all the families in the areal-types of families ,which reflect the azonal feature of the wetland vegetation and the cosmopolitan fea-ture of the wetland plants .The 172 genera of vascular plants have 14 areal-types .The tropic type and tem-perate type account for 37 .21% and 29 .07% of all the genera respectively ,revealing the tropical and tem-perate feature of the flora of vascular plants .
