  • In order toprovide a theoretical basis for the precise prediction and effective control of corn borer (Ostrinia nubilalis) in the Ili river valley,the occurrence dynamics of corn borer species and adultswas investigated and monitored in the corn seed farm using specific sex attractant and detector light for four years from 2017 to 2020.The results showed that the Ili valley was an Asia-Europe mixed corn borer area, withthe Asian corn borer as the dominant population. Two or three generations of corn borer occurred in a year. The peak of adults in the overwintering generation was from early June to early July, and the peak of adults in the first generation was from late July to late August, with irregular occurrence and overlapping generations.
