Abstract: Using the variational cumulant expansion, the authors examine the magnetization and coercivity for spin1/2 ferromagnetic films of simple cubic, body-centered-cubic and face-centered-cubic lattices. It is shown that the magnetization and coercivity depend on the lattice structures as well as the temperature and the number of spin layers in the film.-
