  • Eleven fungi strains with a certain activity of cellulose‐degradation were isolated from the humus soil under pile‐up rotting leaves all the year round by using spread plate method and transparent circle of Congo red plate method .By the filter paper weight‐loss method and 3 ,5‐Dinitrosalicylic acid colorimetric method ,cellulose‐degradation activity of the 11 fungi strains was studied .The result showed that four strains numbered LY4‐2 ,LY4‐4 ,LY4‐5 and LY5‐1 had different cellulose‐degradation activity .LY4‐5 stain had the best activity , the filter paper weight‐loss rate was 44.96% ,CMCase activity was 41.25 IU , FPAase activity was 27.63 IU .
