  • “Agricultural Phytopathology” is a core course for cultivating plant doctors in colleges and universities, and it is facing new opportunities and challenges under the background of “development of emerging agricultural education”. This paper describes the present situation of this course, analyzes the problems existing in its theoretical teaching and experimental teaching, and discusses the role of this course in cultivating plant doctors from the aspects of theoretical teaching method, theoretical teaching content, experimental teaching content and course assessment method, so as to provide reference for the improvement of teaching quality of Agricultural Phytopathology and the cultivation of new-type plant doctors.

Abstract: “Agricultural Phytopathology” is a core course for cultivating plant doctors in colleges and universities, and it is facing new opportunities and challenges under the background of “development of emerging agricultural education”.
