Abstract
“Homology of medicine and food” means that many foods are medicines as well, which can prevent and cure diseases. Inversely, many drugs can not only prevent disease, but also can be served as human food.There is no absolute dividing line between them. Similarly, fertilizers and chemicals help plants grow healthily, and they also protect them from diseases, pests, and weeds. This paper discusses the homology of medicine and food in plant medicine from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine and pharmacy. The results, expectedly, will promote people's understanding of plants and their health and medicine.
