Application of Natural Enemy Insects in Sustainable Management of Garden Pests in Chongqing

  • With the progress of ecological concept and the acceleration of the construction of ‘national ecological garden city’ in Chongqing, the prevention and control of pests in Chongqing's landscape management department has also moved to a new environment, from the traditional physical and chemical control turned to biological control. In this paper, the occurrence characteristics of garden pests in Chongqing in recent years were analyzed. Combined with the development history of natural enemy insects with the research and application in other provinces and cities, it was proposed to use natural enemy insects for sustainable control of garden pests in order to achieve the double harvest of ecological and social economic benefits.
