  • In this study, three new pests of tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.) were found for the first time in Wuxi County, Chongqing in 2021, including Cneorane violaceipennis Allard, Xenocatantops brachycerus (Willemse) and Mamestra brassicae Linnaeus. The taxonomic status, morphological characteristics and control measures of these new pests were presented, so as to provide guidance for ensuring production of healthy tobacco.

Investigation and Control Measures of Three New Pests Feeding on Tobacco Leaves in Chongqing

Abstract: In this study, three new pests of tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.) were found for the first time in Wuxi County, Chongqing in 2021, including Cneorane violaceipennis Allard, Xenocatantops brachycerus (Willemse) and Mamestra brassicae Linnaeus.
