The Idea and Strategy of Ecology Oriented Professional Development of Teachers

Abstract: The ecological orientation of teachers professional development means that teacher training and cultivation is rooted in an ecological environment. Through the study, practice and reflection of the individuals，naturally collaborated culture will be formed with information transmission, cooperation and competition among teachers community. This will also create an ecosystem for mutual benefits to strengthen teachers professionalism. Ecological orientation reflects the characteristics of harmonious coexistence, independent life, mutual cooperation and sustainable development, presenting a holistic, systematic, interactive and generative concept. At present, teacher education must be based on the idea of ecological orientation in a dynamically balanced system of teachers professional development.
