  • Personality development is influenced by gene－environment transactions. Developmental pathways of individual personality from childhood to adolescence are influenced by three social relationships in social environment－sibling relationships, parent－child relationships and peer relationships. The quality and state of these three social relationships are closely related to the development of three behavioral orientations: antisocial behavior, social inhibition and withdrawal, and pro－social behavior. To help children establish good social relationships to develop healthy personality, parent should take educational methods according to children's behavioral orientation.
