  • The design and practice of undergraduate graduation thesis is an important part of undergraduate training, and improving the quality of teaching practice is the top priority. This paper took the teaching quality improvement practice of graduation thesis of plant protection major in Plant Protection College of Hebei Agricultural University (hereinafter referred to as 'our College’)as an example, constructed the course training objectives, determined the assessment content and evaluation methods, and quantitatively analyzed the degree of achievement on course objectives. Guided by the course objectives, this paper determined the degree of achievement of each link of undergraduate graduation thesis through the analysis of students' achievement, and on this basis expounded the shortcomings of the course in our college, and finally put forward the corresponding improvement measures. Through the analysis of the practice effect on improving the quality of undergraduate thesis in our college, it can provide some reference for the reform of undergraduate teaching in agriculture and forestry universities in China.

An Analysis of Teaching Practice on Improving the Quality of Undergraduate Graduation Thesis——Taking College of Plant Protection, Hebei Agricultural University as An Example

Abstract: The design and practice of undergraduate graduation thesis is an important part of undergraduate training, and improving the quality of teaching practice is the top priority. This paper took the teaching quality improvement practice of graduation thesis of plant protection major in Plant Protection College of Hebei Agricultural University (hereinafter referred to as 'our College’)as an example, constructed the course training objectives, determined the assessment content and evaluation methods, and quantitatively analyzed the degree of achievement on course objectives. Guided by the course objectives, this paper determined the degree of achievement of each link of undergraduate graduation thesis through the analysis of students' achievement, and on this basis expounded the shortcomings of the course in our college, and finally put forward the corresponding improvement measures. Through the analysis of the practice effect on improving the quality of undergraduate thesis in our college, it can provide some reference for the reform of undergraduate teaching in agriculture and forestry universities in China.
