Abstract
The lure of practicalbenefits, the contradiction between the internal need of development and external evaluation, and the cultural gap between individual development and symbiosis are the three challengesthat hinder the professional development of university teachers in the context of "Double World-Class Initiative". In the background of "Double World-Class Initiative", the professional development of university teachers should be based on the development logic of national strategic demand, and promote the evaluation mechanism of categorization and the training mode of cross-boundary integration. This paper attempts to offer solutions to the three challenges from the perspective of educational ecology:diversifying the path of university teachers' professional development with the thinking of educational ecology chain, constructing the evaluation mechanism of teachers' professional development with the ecological vision of complex thinking, and guiding the cooperative development of teachers' specialty with the ecological field of the whole thinking.
