Abstract

Based on a macroscopiccomparison between traditional Chinese Confucian culture and western culture, this paperputs forward the following suggestions concerning the reforming of moral education inschool: reconstructing the scientific basis of morals by deconstructing the metaphysicalmoral tradition; transcending traditional morals and establishing a new outlook of moraleducation by comprehending the dialectical relationship between traditional morals andmodern spirit; strengthening aesthetic education on the basis of moral education inschool.
