  • Ethnic culture centers serve as important places for inheriting and popularizing ethnic cultures. This paper investigates the Miao embroidery training in XX ethnic culture center of Hunan province. The ethnic culture center has achieved great success in inheriting ethnic culture. Through training,trainees have improved Miao embroidery techniques and enhanced their understanding of Miao culture. They are satisfied with the teaching content, teaching methods and organizational forms, and are proud of learning Miao embroidery. They show their willingness to continue learning and carrying forward and inherit Miao embroidery in behavioral intention. However, there are some problems:the course system of Miao embroidery is not perfect, the teaching method is single, the mechanism of cooperation between enterprises and libraries is not established, and the awareness of sharing is not formed. Therefore, the author puts forward five points of reference:integrating into the Miao culture, learning Miao embroidery patterns; using multimedia to enhance contrast and communication; building a sustainable organizational form and paying attention to effective publicity; strengthening cooperation between museums and enterprises and encourage entrepreneurship; and developing databases and sharing teaching resources.
