Abstract

Emphasis on stylistic featuresof new poetry and its self-development based on national traditions and the exchangebetween Chinese and western poetical traditions is the basic train of thought of WenYiduo's poetics in 1920s. By taking Chinese and western poetics as the background and byregulating and transforming the heterogeneous factors and the inner contradictions, WenYiduo aims at constructing a better entity and reaching new perfection. This is hispsychological motive.
